I remember hearing a story, a women describing how she understood why her two daughters fought so much and how the eldest felt when the second daughter came along. She said it must feel like this situation- her husband comes home one day with news:
"Honey, I'm going to be bringing home a second wife in nine months, she's going to be a little younger than you, a little cuter, I'm going to be spending most of my time with her. But don't worry, I love you just as much." She said about this: "I would see through that in a second!"
I don't know why that story struck me as funny and charming, but I remember it now as I think of Texas' surprise at this new addition to our household and wonder if he will be just a little confused and jealous.
